  1. Power off your MacBook Pro.
  2. Unplug the power adapter and all cables.
  3. Close the display and turn the MacBook Pro upside down.
  4. Locate the two screws on the bottom of the case that secure the battery.
  5. Remove the screws and lift the battery out of the case.
  6. Locate the two screws on the bottom of the case that secure the RAM shield.
  7. Remove the screws and lift the RAM shield out of the case.
  8. Locate the two RAM slots on the logic board.
  9. Push down on the clips on the sides of the RAM slots to release the old RAM modules.
  10. Lift the old RAM modules out of the slots.
  11. Align the new RAM modules with the slots.
  12. Push down on the RAM modules until they click into place.
  13. Replace the RAM shield and secure it with the screws.
  14. Replace the battery and secure it with the screws.
  15. Plug in the power adapter and cables.
  16. Power on your MacBook Pro.
